Additional-source evaluation

Second-source die-cut components.

A drawing-led starting point for OEM buyers evaluating an alternate supplier for an existing, non-critical converted component.

Start from the approved drawing, specified material and existing requirement baseline.

The review scope

Compare one defined
part at a time.

An alternate-source review is most practical when an OEM can share the current approved drawing, material requirement and part-use context. The purpose is to establish whether the same defined requirement can be reviewed through Rilbeck’s selected precision converting partners in China.

This page concerns a supply discussion for a defined component. It does not replace an OEM’s own approval, validation or qualification process.

Component families

Where a baseline helps.

Use the approved requirement to keep
material, geometry and intended function aligned.

Electrical insulation die-cuts

Customer-specified films, papers and barriers shaped around an approved drawing and insulation requirement.

Thermal-interface parts

Specified thermal materials converted to the required outline, thickness, openings and presentation.

Foam, gasket & adhesive-backed parts

Defined foam, gasket or adhesive constructions reviewed with the intended assembly and liner requirements.

Low-volume validation

Prototype or low-volume review can support a fit and handling discussion before any production decision.

Benchmark one existing part

Start from what is already approved.

Send the drawing, customer-specified material, thickness, critical dimensions, quantity and application notes. That provides a practical basis for an initial feasibility review without commitment.
